Cream:
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
1/3 c cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
1 c boiling water
1 c milk
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Beat. Stir in boiling water. Put in sheet cake pan (prepared) and bake for 35 min at 350
